When I ran my first 10k a friend told me the last .2 miles
is the hardest. You see the 6-mile mark
and know you’re almost there. You expect the finish line to be around every
corner but each turn reveals a little further to go. This writing project has
paralleled that 10k in many ways. Yesterday in that last .2 miles I stumbled
and almost didn’t finish. I’m glad I
pushed through.
Now, like running, it’s time to get back to training.
